Nelda Corrine Ridley

Nelda Corrine Ridley, 85, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2020 in Johnstown, Colorado. Nelda was born on August 10, 1934 in Simla, Colorado to Ray and Ola (Slieger) Harper.

She is survived by her children, Duane (Linda) Forbes of Lamar, CO and Deana Dianna (Russell) Elliott of Karval, CO; grandchildren, Keith (Darci) Crow of Firestone, CO; Cody Crow, Garrett Ashby of Johnstown, CO; Cory (Kelsey) Crow of Cheraw, CO; Lane Elliott of Las Animas, CO; Zeke (Sheila) Forbes of Lamar, CO; and Steven (Christine) Forbes of Ozlo, MN; siblings, Dale (Maxine) Harper of Colorado Springs, CO; Joyce England of Las Animas, CO; Helen (Don) McClure of La Junta, CO; and Joan (Sonny) Hensen of Albuquerque, NM; 10 great-grandchildren & 1 great, great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband R.J. Ridley; first husband, Dean Forbes; sister, Shirley Glass; and great-grandson Nash Crow; infant son, Ronald Dean Forbes.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Las Animas Cemetery in Las Animas with Pastor John Dell of the First Christian Church in Rocky Ford officiating.
