Paula Bishop

Paula Jorene Bishop, 47, passed away March 11, 2012 at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 16, 1965 in La Junta to Cecil Gail Martin & Sharon (Holms) Martin.

Paula graduated from La Junta High School class of 1983. She worked for Southwest Airlines as a marketing assistant. She loved animals, gardening, and decorating.

Paula is survived by her son, Trevor Jay Bishop; mother, Sharon Martin; father, Cecil Gail (Barbara) Martin all of La Junta; brother, Justin (Brenda) Martin and their children, Andrew, Nicholas, Steven, and Emily all of Corona, CA; brother, Robert (Stephanie) Martin and their children, Hanna and Claireanna all of Fowler, CO; sister, Letti (Joe) Blundell and their children, Meghan, Ashley, and Leyton all of Kim, CO; and special friend, Roy Thomas of La Junta.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and uncle, Richard Holms.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


Funeral service will be Thursday, March 15, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Andy Albright of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
