Ralph Lynn Terry, 74, passed away on March 4, 2018 in the comfort of his long time home. He was the loving husband of Carol Marie McCabe. They shared 53 years of marriage.
Born in Denver, CO he was the son of Amos Terry and Mary Lynn Avery. He graduated from Hoehne High School in 1962. He was employed by the BNSF railroad which brought his family to La Junta in 1966, though his life's passion was being a Cowboy. He enjoyed riding horses, hunting, spending ample time in the mountains and most of all sharing all of these joys with his family. He will be remembered for his sharp wit, generosity and always helping hand.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Kirk (Sue) Larsen; daughter, Jolynn (Ed) Spangler; grandchildren, Kiley (Alexis) Larsen, Kandra (Brandon) Becerra, Jaclynn (Chad) Schreivogel and Joanna Spangler; and great-grandchildren, Jayden, Mollie, Madison, MaKenzie and Owen. Other surviving family members include his step-mother, Donna Terry; brothers, Martin (Twyla) Terry, Bruce Terry and Landon Avery; sister, Debra Evett; sister-in-law, Marlene Bieg and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Amos, mother, Mary Lynn and two sisters, OraLea and LindaAnn.
As per Ralph's request cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
Memorial donations can by made to your local High School FFA chapter in Ralph's honor. Long live the Cowboy.
