Robert Eugene Roberson

Robert Eugene Roberson passed away on March 20, 2026 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on August 30,1931 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Herbert Eugene and Verna (Wray) Roberson and was the second oldest of seven children. He married Wilma Carol Fankhouser in April of 1952 and had two children Don and Robin. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan from 1952 to 1954. He later worked as a High Voltage Electrician with the Civil Service for 38 years from 1957 to 1995.

He is survived by his children Donald (Cynthia) Roberson and Robin Roberson-Dawson; two grandchildren Mike (Amber) Roberson and Ryan (Courtney) Dawson and six great-grandchildren Maxwell Roberson and Bridgette Hidy; Harper, Ember, Winter and River Dawson and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Wilma Roberson, his parents, Verna and Herbert Roberson, brothers Herbert, Francis, Clarence, Roy, and sisters Eva and Joyce Roberson; and Grand-daughter Amanda (Roberson) Hidy.

Per his request no service will be held and cremation will be handled by Perez & Peacock Funeral Home in La Junta. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
