Robert E. Tafoya

Robert Tafoya, 69, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025 in Pueblo, CO. He was born November 14, 1956 to Mabel Raso. He was adopted by Frank and Mary Tafoya shortly after and was raised as their son.

Robert was a die-hard Raiders fan and made sure his love for his team was known by all. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed playing slow pitch softball and being at the ballpark with his friends and family. Later in his life he became involved in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed attending the church the rest of his life.

He is survived by his daughters, Autumn Tafoya (Rick Butts) of La Junta, Audrey Tafoya of La Junta, and Destini (Dean) Foster of Simi Valley, CA; his grandson, Seth Reece; sister, Irene Garcia; and multiple nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.

Robert is proceeded in death by his parents; grandson, Micah Reece; and many siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta. Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
