Rocky P. Romero, 62, of Las Animas passed away on October 6, 2016 at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo. He was born on October 7, 1953 in Rocky Ford to Augustine & Apolonia (Arguello) Romero.
He is survived by his daughter, Irene (Donavan) Garcia of Commerce City, CO; siblings, Helen Martinez of Whittier, CA; Victor (Maggie) Romero of Lemon Grove, CA; Victoria Romero of Chula Vista, CA; Annie (Jim) Oldfield of Boise, ID; George (Gloria) Romero of Sacramento, CA; Euplio Romero of Pueblo, CO; and Patsy Romero of Phoenix, AZ; numerous nieces & nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Juan & Rudy Romero; and sister, Louisa Lucero.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Inurnment will follow at the Bent County-Las Animas District Cemetery in Las Animas.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o, Connie Elder, 721 Carson Avenue, La Junta, CO 81050 direct or through the funeral home.
Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
