Ronald Steven Wren was born March 21, 1946 in Kim, Colorado, and departed this life November 12, 2021 at Southeast Colorado Hospital in Springfield, CO.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Herald Marie Brown, and father, Edward Wren. He was raised by his grandmother, Ruth Brown, on the ranch south of Kim, where he engaged in ranching and farming until his health forced him to to move to the long term care unit in Springfield, CO. in 2019.
He is survived by two half-brothers, Mark Ellis of Birmingham, AL, and Carlos Wren of Trinidad, CO. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Brown, and grandfather, Clay Brown. He is also survived by a special cousin, Marcella Holman (John) of Spearville, KS. Also an aunt, Emily Chappee of California, and close friends, Howard Sumpter, Lonnie Jackson, and Lyla Day (Schaller).
He was the caretaker for the Kim Cemetery for many years, and was well known with a multitude of friends in the area.
Graveside services will be held November 17, 2021 at 11:00 at the Kim Cemetery
Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
