Scott Warren Shelton’s life ended suddenly at the age of 55, in Mitchell, South Dakota from a massive heart attack on October 15, 2025. He was born Sunday, October 4, 1970 in La Junta to Warren Eugene II & Christie Sue (Schneider) Shelton.

He graduated from Swink High School in 1988 and attended Otero Junior College.

Scott grew up with farming in his blood and worked for Diamond A and Paul Casper of Lusk Farms.

Scott was known to be a capable farmer and mechanic. He loved his family and his two four-legged friends, Molly and Dozer. He married Rhonda Ayers, and they had one daughter, Robyn (Ayers) Halouska.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Robyn (Jacob) Halouska of North Platte, NE; grandson, Patrick Halouska; mother, Christie Shelton of La Junta, CO; brother, Andrew (Marianne) Shelton of Alamosa, CO; Samantha and Hannah, and his nephew, Warren Andrew Shelton of Alamosa, CO; his mother, Sue Shelton, of La Junta, CO, & numerous cousins also survive. He is preceded in death by his father, Warren Eugene Shelton, II.

Memorial Service will be held for Scott on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta, CO.
