Stephanie Salazar

Stephanie Salazar, 59, was born on April 27, 1964 in La Junta, CO to Annie Pulido and Jesus Pulido and her biological father was Eloy Salazar.


Stephanie is survived by her two sons, Stephen (Bryanna) Monett-Salazar and Richard G. (Chambri) Lucero; three granddaughters, Larissa, Laticia and Ziana; grandson, Richard G. Lucero, Jr.; God daughter, Izaura “Lala” Ezquirel-Salazar. Which she loved each and everyone with all her heart. She is also survived by her many brothers and sisters, Danny (Sandy) Salazar, Josie Perez, Mike Salazar, Ernestine Gonzalez, Jenny (Wilbur) Maes, Mary Ann (Dennis) Salazar, Mary Alice Perez, Elizabeth (Vince) Ramirez, Rita (Arthur) Apodaca, Larry Salazar, Patricia (Albert) Davis, Juan (Serena) Salazar, Valerie (Steve) Salazar, Mona Anaya, Mario Lozano, Gina Pena, Robert Lozano, Theresa Nava, and many, many nieces and nephews.


She enjoyed playing cards, Loteria, and Bingo and she was a big Bronco fan. She loved hot and spicy chili. She was a very proud Bulldog, graduate of Pueblo Centennial.


Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Pulido, father, Jesus Pulido, and Eloy Salazar, daughter, Felisia Salazar, sisters, Chata Salazar, Katherine Salazar, Cathy Salazar, Iris Salazar, brothers Ricky Salazar, Phillip “Bimbo” Salazar and Eloy Salazar.


Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass at 10:00 a.m. Both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish in La Junta with Father Joseph Matitu officiating. Visitation will Monday, January 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.


Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
