Toni Sharon Salazar

Toni Sharon Salazar, 63, passed peacefully on April 22, 2013 at St. Mary/Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado.  She was born on September 3, 1949 in La Junta, Colorado to Frank & Lena (Dominguez) Griego.

Sharon will be deeply missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly.

She is survived by her son, James (Andrea) Salazar; grandsons, Robert Salazar and Raymond Beltran; granddaughter, Gabriella Salazar all of Pueblo; daughter, Yvette (Phil) Chavez; grandson, Ryan Chavez all of Highland Ranch, Colorado; sisters, Charmaine Deabueno of San Francisco, California, Alberta Mestas of Pueblo; brothers, John Griego of La Junta, Colorado, Gilbert Griego of Signal Hill, California and Joe Griego of San Jose, California; and numerous nieces and nephews survive.  Preceded in death by her parents, Lena & Frank Griego, brother, Billie Griego, sister, Frances Granillo, and grandson Niklas Louis Chavez.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


A Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish in La Junta.  A Memorial Mass will be on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Patrick Parish with a reception following st the Knights of Columbus hall.  A private family inurnment will be at a later date.
