Vickie Lee Salas

Vickie L. Salas, 56, passed away on February 28, 2020 at her La Junta home. She was born on March 15, 1963 to Donald Eugene & Shirley Ann (McGee) Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Rudy B. Madrid of the La Junta home; children, Anthony (Chelsea) of Aurora; Kyle Johnson, Levi Wiseman both of La Junta; Michael (Danielle) Madrid of Indiana; grandchildren, Reagan Salas, Waylon Johnson and Adrianna Madrid; parents, Shirley Johnson and Donald “Duke” Johnson both of La Junta; siblings, Donna Johnson of Rocky Ford; Alan (Anita) Johnson of Garden City, KS; Cindy (Scott) Berlin of Arkansas; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles also survive. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul & Edith Johnson and John & Lee McGee.

A celebration of Vickie’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the North La Junta Community Center.
