Viola Demoss

Viola DeMoss, 101, formerly of Ordway, passed away on March 27, 2021 in Pueblo. She was born February 10, 1920 in Lincoln County, Colorado to Lucien M. and Lillie Mae (Debo) Hobson. She was married to Willis Glen DeMoss on August 27, 1946 in Ordway; he preceded her in death in 2004.

Viola was raised on a farm/ranch south of Karval, CO through the tenth grade. In 1950 the family moved to Fowler, KS and then she resided in Colorado Springs, CO from 1974 through 1985. Viola worked as a hospital nurses aide. Upon retirement in 1985, Viola & Willis Glen moved to Ordway. Faith was very important to Viola. She attended the First Christian Church in Ordway.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Tresnak of Powell, OH; son, Larry DeMoss; grandchildren, Bret (Leslie), Russell and Maggie; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Conor, Ashley, Zachary, Will & Corinne; son-in-law, Gale Flinn. Viola was preceded in death by parents, husband, daughter, Janet Flinn, grandson, Garrett Flinn, son-in-law, Joe Tresnak; daughter-in-law, Connie DeMoss; siblings, Elton, Thurman, Noel, Velma, Norman, and Veneta.

A celebration of Viola’s life will be held at a later date.
