Wayne B. Lujan

Wayne B. Lujan, 62, passed away on January 29, 2022, at the Pioneer Health Care Center in Rocky Ford. He was born on January 6, 1960, in Denver to Al Secundino & Mary (Herrera) Lujan.

Wayne enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos, playing pool and going fishing. He loved being with his family, laughing, joking and telling stories from the past.

He is survived by his siblings, Joe (Sally) Jensen of Thornton, CO; Joan (Bill) Wilbur of Centerton, Arkansas; Diana Lucero of Manzanola; Arlene Vargas of Wheat Ridge, CO; Patricia Quintana of Manzanola; Orlando (Sherry) Lujan of Thorton, CO; Troy (Annette) Lujan of Fowler; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Al Lujan; mother & stepfather, Mary & Raymond Lucero; brothers, Ken Lujan and Jecemiah McCain; brothers-in-law, Bruno Lucero, Mike Quintana and George Vargas; nephew, Michael Quintana and niece, Joanna Jensen.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. both services at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rocky Ford with Father Soosai officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountainview Cemetery in Manzanola. Visitation will be Monday, February 7, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
