Yolanda “Yoyo” M. Rael, 66, of La Junta, Colorado passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, at her Rocky Ford home. She was born on September 24, 1959, in La Junta, Colorado to Leroy & Victoria (Hernandez) Rael.
Yoyo was an avid Broncos fan and she loved WWE Wrestling. She loved listening to her Michael Jackson CDs. She loved dancing to Mexican music as well as western music.
Yolanda is survived by her sisters, Gloria (Joe) Gonzales of Tucson, AZ, Rebecca Jiron of Colorado Springs, CO, Luz Rael of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Ruben (Esther) Rael of La Junta, CO; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Yolanda is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy & Victoria Rael; brothers, Leroy Rael, Jr. and Antonio “Wisk” Rael; nephews, David Jr. and Kenneth Victor Reynolds.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish in La Junta on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with Father Dennis Mary Dugan of Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish officiating. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.
Yoyo was loved by many and will be greatly missed. The family requests privacy during this time.
